Material
All our jewelry is made of stainless steel with 18k gold plating and some of them made with 925 silver to guarantee our customers quality jewelry.
What is 18k gold plating?
We usually use copper as the body of the jewelry that comes coated in a gold plating with a minimum thickness of 3 microns of gold (5 microns sometimes for jewelry with stones) to obtain the "gold plated" designation. The plating can be made in pure gold (fine gold) or in 18 carat gold (18 carat gold).
Arabika Jewelry jewelry is coated by a process called electrolysis (or electroplating) with a layer of 18-karat gold and a thickness of 3 microns.
18-karat gold-plated jewelry offers a guarantee of quality over time. You can wear your jewelry every day, in the shower, to play sports, etc. Avoid, however, direct contact with perfumes and cosmetics of all kinds.
What is stainless steel?
Stainless steel has excellent quality as it is worked with surgical grades in the N316 L alloy, which prevents corrosion, allows its shine to be more durable and its hardness allows it the desired malleability to make unique engravings that would be impossible with other metals. to perform.
What is 925 silver?
The silver jewelry offered by Arabika Jewelry is guaranteed free of lead, nickel and cadmium. It is 925 silver (also called solid silver) because it contains at least 92.5% silver, supplemented by 7.5% other metals, most often copper.
Pure silver, being very malleable, is this alloy of silver and copper that gives the material the robustness necessary to make jewelry and withstands the passage of time very well.
