Material

All our jewelry is made of stainless steel with an 18k gold plating or 925 silver to guarantee our customers high-quality pieces.

What is 18k gold plating?

We usually use copper as the base metal for the jewelry, which is then coated with a layer of gold with a minimum thickness of 3 microns (sometimes 5 microns for jewelry with stones) to earn the designation "gold-plated." The plating can be done with pure gold (fine gold) or 18-karat gold.

Arabika Jewelry pieces are coated through a process called electrolysis (or electroplating) with a layer of 18-karat gold, 3 microns thick.

Jewelry plated with 18k gold ensures lasting quality over time. You can wear your jewelry every day — in the shower, while exercising, etc. However, it's best to avoid direct contact with perfumes and all types of cosmetics.

What is stainless steel?

At Arabika Jewelry, you’ll find the best selection of personalized jewelry made from stainless steel, guaranteeing the best price and quality for every piece.

Stainless steel jewelry is of very high quality. It resists exposure to things like the pH of human sweat, as well as makeup, perfumes, creams, hair dyes, and cleaning chemicals.

We use surgical-grade stainless steel (alloy n316L), which prevents corrosion, keeps the shine longer, and is hard enough to allow for the kind of detailed engravings that wouldn’t be possible with other metals.

What is 925 silver?

The silver jewelry offered by Arabika Jewelry is guaranteed to be free of lead, nickel, and cadmium. It is 925 silver (also called solid silver) because it contains at least 92.5% pure silver, complemented by 7.5% of other metals — most commonly copper.

Since pure silver is very malleable, this alloy of silver and copper gives the material the necessary strength to make durable jewelry that stands the test of time.

Note: Our jewelry comes with a high-quality cotton cloth to clean it from time to time and remove any dust.
